People from small country of Slovakia would like to make a big impact on the world.

There are people who want to make great changes for our planet even in small countries like Slovakia. Since 2011, Earth Hour has become a part of life in our country, with many people celebrating this event every year. Annually an increasing number of people join Earth Hour in Slovakia, as well as hotels, companies and schools. Many iconic monuments go dark including the UNESCO world heritage site Spis Castle, one of the largest castles in Europe. Earth Hour was first held in Slovakia in 2011. Earth Hour in Slovakia is coordinated by a Section of protection against light pollution of the Slovak Astronomical Society and the WWF Slovakia.
