Earth Hour is a global event made possible by teams in 135 countries turning lights off locally.
Co-ordinating this global effort is a small team based in Sydney, the birthplace of Earth Hour. Headed by Co-Founder Andy Ridley, we work closely to support teams around the world and take the Earth Hour message to new countries.

Rebecca George
Role: Communications
Bio:
Rebecca recently joined the Earth Hour team and works on media relations, ambassador outreach and digital communications.

Ninja Musmann
Role: Campaign Coordination
Bio:
Originally from Germany, Ninja moved to Sydney in 2011 and began working at Earth Hour in early 2012. She works on campaign coordination and helps out with internal comms and daily office administration.

Penny Mills
Role: Online
Bio:
Originally from the UK, Penny joined Earth Hour just before the lights out event in 2009. She runs our global website earthhour.org, and generally helps out with all things online.

Sid Das
Role: Mobile
Bio:
Sid joined Earth Hour, from Google, in 2009 and looks after the mobile platforms and data analysis. In addition to playing the role of 'Mr Fixit', he is also an amateur photographer who goes by the name Sidpicky.

Andy Ridley
Role: Executive Director and Co Founder

As the co-founder and Executive Director of Earth Hour, Andy has guided a “lights out” campaign into the biggest grass-roots environmental movement on the planet. From 2012 and beyond, Earth Hour is harnessing the new digital frontier by using social technology to connect humanity to save the planet. Andy says Earth Hour is owned by its participants, from a six-year-old in a class room to a political leader fighting for a clean energy future. For the first time in history, it is possible for people from all over the world to connect and unite behind a common cause.

Erika Wood
Role: Brand and Marketing
Bio:
Erika is a recent 2011 recruit to the Earth Hour team and will manage the delivery of the global campaign, advertising and brand guardianship.

Ben Vozzo
Role: Digital Communications
Bio:
Ben joined the team after completing an internship with Earth Hour in 2011. He curates Earth Hour Global's social media pages, and also works on media relations.

Tessa Ferguson
Role: Global Network and Team Coordination
Bio:
Tessa worked for WWF Australia for 3 years before joining Earth Hour Global in 2009. She has just returned from living in Spain for the last 2 years and is the Earth Hour Global Team Manager.

Loryn Garnsey
Role: Special Projects
Bio:
Loryn manages the many valuable relationships with our community partners. In addition she handles a number of special projects Earth Hour has in the works.

Alisha Elliott
Role: Global Partnerships
Bio:
Alisha joined EHG in December 2011 tasked with the responsibility of securing and managing global partnerships. Alisha comes from Sydney Opera House, where she managed a range of corporate partners across various sectors.
