In 2013, Earth Hour went digital in Colombia and broke its own records of participation. More than 20 million users were reached on social media with the hashtag #unahorapara.

Earth Hour is a nationwide event encouraging more and more citizens, institutions and companies to join the movement every year. It has been hugely covered by Colombian media, which plays a key role in spreading the Earth Hour message.

Started in 2008 with 114 companies and organizations, the campaign has grown steadily over the course of 6 years. Colombian cities celebrate Earth Hour by switching lights-off for their main landmarks and holding public events.
