Welcome to the Earth Hour global community!

I grew up in a quiet country town in Australia and spent most of my childhood outdoors. Some of my fondest memories are climbing the big willow tree at my grandparents house; swimming with my cousins in the river and enjoying the freshly-picked produce from my grandfather’s garden.

Nature was my playground and I’m so grateful to have had that experience.

My childhood helped me appreciate the environment, it also made me understand that we depend on the environment as much as the environment depends on us. We are a part of the (universal) ecosystem and every action we take has a positive or negative consequence to the system as a whole.

Earth Hour is (all) about encouraging positive action and that is exactly why I have chosen to be involved. I believe we can all do our best to make small changes to create positive effects.

In the weeks to come we will be offering some great tips and articles at the KORA Organics blog on the small changes we can all make on a daily basis. I hope you find them interesting and helpful.

I urge us all to be involved and join in the conversation and of course don’t forget to turn the lights out at 8.30pm March 31st 2012
