Earth Hour Header 2014

Earth Hour Kids' Ambassador Pocoyo was cheering from the sidelines as the WWF panda took part in the Mexico City Cicloton this weekend.
The Cicloton is a 32 kilometre, engine-free bike route that is created once a month along Mexico City's busy streets, encouraging the use of non-motorized transport for the public.
The WWF Mexico team committed to participating in every Cicloton event for the remainder of 2012, if one million people sent through their commitment to reduce energy use as part of Earth Hour 2012.
The challenge was part of our I Will If You Will campaign, and was just one of a host of high-profile dares from across Latin America.
WWF Mexico hopes the event encouraged citizens, governments and the private sector to play their part in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The Cicloton is organised by the Government of Mexico City, and was also supported by representatives of carbon-neutral cosmetics company Natura. The company is a part of WWF's Climate Savers program, and also donated the tandem bicycles that helped get the panda across the finish line!

On 31 March, the lights went out for one hour across Mexico City and another 25 cities across the country. Earth Hour in Mexico is supported by Coca-Cola and HSBC.
